GENERAL

NOTE: Before attempting any of the following repairs, shut off unit and disconnect spark plug.

Excessive vibration

-   Blade is loose

 

 

-  Blade is unbalanced

 

 

 

-   Bent blade

 

 

-  Engine mounting bolt     loose or missing

 

-   Bent or broken crankshaft

-   Tighten blade (see Owner's Manual)

 

-   Balance blade (see Owner's Manual or Authorized Service Center)

 

-   Replace blade (see Owner's Manual)

 

-   Tighten or replace bolt (see Owner's Manual)

 

-   Take mower to an Authorized Service Center

 

Uneven cut

-                           - Height adjusters are not set correctly

 

-   Dull blade

 

 

-   Bent blade

-   Place all four wheels in same height position

 

-   Sharpen & balance blade (see Owner's Manual)

 

-   Replace blade (see Owner's Manual)

 

Unit does not shut off when stop lever is released

-    Damaged stop cable

 

-    Damaged stop lever

-   Replace cable (see Owner's Manual)

 

-   Replace stop lever (see Authorized Service Center)

 

 

SELF-PROPELLED WALK-BEHIND MOWERS

Noisy drive system

-   Debris

             -  Damaged wheels

-                        -  Bent height adjusters

 

-   Remove debris from drive components

 

-   Replace wheels  (see Owner's Manual or Authorized Service Center)

 

-   Replace height adjusters (see Owner's Manual or Authorized Service Center)

 

* Not all models have a cable adjustment.  Replace cable if there is no cable adjustment.

** Not all models have a belt adjustment.  Replace belt if there is no belt adjustment.
